Fears
Are you afraid of birth? The unknowns of the hospital? You’ve gotta talk through all of that or you’ll drag it into labor with you. Common fears are often dispelled by getting a handle on the facts. You could be making a mountain out of a molehill (not everyone poops in labor and it really isn’t a big deal if you do!) Or you may want to talk about some really big fears- c-section, hemorrhage, or even death. From there we’ll figure out how to get you into a better headspace and put those fears behind you.

Let’s talk through some of the most common hospital policies, interventions, and procedures. Having a solid understanding of best practices will give you confidence and quell your fears. Please, don’t go into this thinking you will just wing it!

Providers are notorious for sending birthing families into both of these scenarios under-prepared and unaware of their options. But we’ve been through both more times than we can count. Let’s get you up to speed so that you can have the best experience possible.

Birth is a big deal- but let’s be honest- it does have an end point. What happens when you get home with your little bundle of joy? How will you manage to get enough sleep? What will you eat and who’s going to make it for you (hot take- it’s really hard to assemble a sandwich while holding a fussy newborn who just had a poop-splosion) Let’s talk through your specific needs and set up some systems to help you through that 4th trimester!
